Tiger’s den cries for protection

timesofindia.indiatimes.com - BENGALURU: It is rather difficult to maintain a palace's grandeur in the absence of its ruler. Especially if the ruler was someone like Tipu Sultan, whose absence is felt even by the walls of his summer palace in Kalasipalyam here.

However, lack of application and enthusiasm by the palace's keepers, who've at best reacted to damages the heritage structure has suffered, has allowed the structure to deteriorate over the years and also sustain painful scratches on its walls and paintings. The result: Forget Tipu's grandeur, his palace is an eyesore.
